Program Support Specialist
Position: Program Support Specialist
Type: Part-Time
Location: Tiffany Springs (KCMO, Northland); Hybrid
Compensation: $15-$20/hour (based on experience)
Position Summary
The Program Support Specialist provides dependable, detail-oriented administrative support across Value Unconditional with a strong focus on customer service, follow-through and responsiveness. As a welcoming first point of contact, this person coordinates the details that make programs and events run smoothly while also keeping the office organized. The role provides administrative support, scheduling and coordination for the highest levels of leadership within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Office Administration and Hospitality

Answer and route incoming calls and help coordinate timely responses.

Monitor and respond to the organization’s main contact email, directing requests to the appropriate team member when needed.

Order and maintain office and program supplies.

Support mail, deliveries, meeting preparation, and other day-to-day office needs.

Help keep shared workspaces, the kitchen, and restrooms stocked, tidy, and welcoming.
Program and Education Support

Support the client intake process, managing intake documentation, follow-up communication, waitlist management, and transitions between programs

Assist with the administrative setup and coordination of trainings, educational programs, meetings, and events.

Send participants and volunteers welcome messages, reminders, meeting links or location details, materials, follow-up information, and thank-you messages.

Maintain accurate registration and attendance records and share participant updates with facilitators.

Organize program materials and documentation and assist with additional program communication and administrative follow-up as needed.

Communicate with volunteers in a timely, clear and friendly manner

Provide note-taking during meetings as needed
Executive Director Support

Manage the Executive Director’s calendar, including scheduling, confirming, rescheduling, and coordinating meetings.

Help prepare meeting agendas, materials, and relevant information.

Take meeting notes and track action items and follow-up needs.

Communicate professionally with staff, partners, donors, volunteers, and community members on behalf of the Executive Director when assigned.
Marketing and Development Support

Make basic website updates, including adding/updating information regarding programs, trainings, events, and merchandise.

Coordinate and distribute the organization’s monthly newsletter.

Create and publish one-off social media posts as requested.

Gather content, links, images, and other materials for website, newsletter, and social media updates.

Provide administrative support for the annual Friendsgiving Dinner, including registration, guest communication, sponsorship information, auction or event items, printed materials, and other event details.

Write and prepare timely, personalized thank-you cards for donors and supporters.
Qualifications
Required:
-
Forward thinking approach to administrative administrative and program coordination; experience in executive assistance, office operations, or a related role.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities, deadlines, and follow-up tasks.

Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills.
-
Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with staff, volunteers, and partners.

Comfort using shared calendars, email, documents, spreadsheets, and other digital tools.

Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain appropriate confidentiality.

Willingness to support Value Unconditional’s Christian mission and represent its values thoughtfully in daily interactions.
Preferred:
-
Experience in a nonprofit, ministry, or client-serving organization.

Experience supporting events, newsletters, websites, social media, or donor communications.
-
Familiarity with tools such as Google Workspace, Canva, Wix, Bloomerang and donor or event registration platforms.
Schedule & Availability

Part-time, 20–25 hours per week. Hybrid; on-site at Tiffany Springs (KCMO, Northland)

Schedule to be determined based on organizational and program needs.
