Faith-Based Nonprofit Launches Survivor Support
Kansas City, Missouri – Thursday, March 16, victims and survivors of trauma in the Northland may have a new hope at Value Unconditional. The faith-based, non-profit organization is opening a Survivor Support Center where victims and survivors of trauma can receive restorative services free of charge.
"We are excited to be offering this much needed service to the Kansas City community," said Geony Rucker, Executive Director of the organization. "We believe every victim deserves to be believed and supported. We’re committed to doing what we can to help create communities that make survivors feel safe and heard when sharing their experiences."
Value Unconditional also provides advocacy services at local, state, and federal sex trafficking sting operations throughout the Greater KC Metro. “By being present at the operations, we’re better positioned to not only help the victims feel safe, but to also help get them connected with the services they need and deserve,” said Rucker.
The organization will be celebrating their ribbon cutting ceremony hosted by the Northland Regional Chamber of Commerce at 4:30pm. Additional details can be found on their Eventbrite.
