Contract-to-Hire Position: Program Support Specialist
Location: Kansas City, MO (Northland); Hybrid opportunity

Value Unconditional is a 501(c)3 faith-based organization providing free victim services to adult men and women seeking healing from one or more traumatic life experiences, including but not limited to sexual assault, child abuse, domestic violence, and human trafficking. Our organization is composed of three programs: Restorative, Education and Advocacy.
Position Summary
The Program Support Specialist will perform a variety of duties, tasks and functions related to administration, communications, intake, and reporting in support of all Value Unconditional programs and administration. This individual will utilize various technology platforms to efficiently and professionally correspond with appropriate parties, including potential Value Unconditional clients, and ensure proper and accurate filing and record keeping of all information. The Program Support Specialist candidate must be highly organized, proactive, reliable, and have strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the designated administrative support for all Value Unconditional programs
- Correspond both internally and externally, including follow-up with pipeline prospects, incoming clients, current and future volunteers, board members and staff in a professional, efficient, and friendly manner
- Maintain highly organized digital records that are easily accessible to appropriate parties for each program
- Provide executive administrative support with scheduling and email correspondence as needed
- Support donor stewardship and cultivation including coordination of gift acknowledgments
- Maintain documentation of time use, accomplishments and goals; additional aspects to be tracked as requested
- Create and deliver summarized data of client demographic information to management as requested
- Record-keeping of necessary documents for current and incoming clients, staff, and volunteers
- Organization-related support, including checking and sending mail, material drop-off and pick-up
- Attend meetings and events as needed with primary intention of note-taking and following up on deliverables

Qualifications
- A strong comprehension, understanding, and use of technology is required for this role. This primarily includes but is not limited to Microsoft Office applications, Gmail, Google Drive, Dropbox, and Zoom. Must be willing to learn how to use the VU donor management platform and volunteer management system.
- Previous administrative experience required
- Previous professional experience in nonprofit, executive administrative support, human resource or office management preferred, but not required.
- Clear and professional communication style (verbal and written)
