April 8th | LIVE Webinar | Advocacy and Handling Disclosures
In this 2-hr LIVE webinar, we’ll discover advocacy relating to how an individual can appropriately support and respond to those experiencing crisis. Our body language, words, and facial expressions when providing advocacy should reflect that of an individual providing support, only to the extent a victim/survivor is willing to receive it. We will discuss verbal and non-verbal forms of communication, as well as the importance of self-awareness, boundaries in advocacy and empowerment through choice and validation. We will also explore self-awareness and how our personal unconscious bias influences the support that we offer. TSI focuses on empowerment-based models of care for victims and survivors of trauma.
